"SCREENING NIGHT (2O14) - REVIEW"

16 MAY (FRIDAY) – Screening Night 2014 was fully organised by the media production students in collaboration with the Department of Media Studies Media Studies Student Association (MASSAC). This annual event is a platform used by the students to screen their production as there are types of genre, including short films, public service announcement, advertisements, practical preaching, documentary, mocumentary and show reel.

These are the list of videos that have been screened on the Screening Night:

SHORT FILM
Inspektor Petonah (Syazwan Husaini)
After the Storm (Ahmad Hisyam Azren)
Zahirah (Ariff Adly)
Hantu Menyambut Merdeka (Syazwan Husaini)
Bomoh (Qatrunnada Hakimi)

The problem occur during the event was the technical part from Armada’s LCD and sound system. Their LCD does not match with the MAC PC that provided by Department of Media Studies. Overall, the food and beverage are good enough as it is reasonable with the price.

Before the events end, there were prizes and awards giving session. These are the winners:

BEST DRESS (MALE) – AUGUSTINE ENG
BEST DRESS (FEMALE) – SYARIFAH DAMIA SUKIRMAN

BEST COSTUME AND SET DESIGN AWARD – ZAHIRAH
BEST EDITING AWARD – SYAZWAN HUSAINI (EPILOG)
BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY AWARD – AHMAD HISYAM AZREN (EPILOG)
BEST DIRECTOR AWARD – SYAZWAN HUSAINI (INSPEKTOR PETONAH)
BEST PRODUCTION AWARD – (INSPEKTOR PETONAH)

In my opinion, the event went very well except for the technical part and the Vintage and The Bowtie theme event ends at 11.30PM. Nevertheless, I would like to congratulate all the committees that really put their effort in making this event success.
