"LES CHORISTES (2004) - REVIEW"

Les Chorristes is a film about a professor of music, Clement Mathieu (Gérard Jugnot), becomes the supervisor at a boarding school for the rehabilitation for minors. What he discovers disconcerts him – the current situation is repressive. Through the power of song, Clement tries to transform the students (www.sbs.com.au)

Music is inspiring. Despite how they are first portrayed, the young boys at the school are actually very bright and decent kids, their petty behaviour misjudged and unfairly punished because nobody has taken the time to get to know them or to give them a chance (www.inquirelive.co.uk)

The film has humor as well as a really beautiful soundtrack and, as it’s only 90 minutes in length, it’s perfect for a pick-me-up on a rainy day.
